Quentin Lee\u2019s Graphic Novel Debut Mystery Brothers Readies its Comic-Con Launch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(July 6, 2022) Los Angeles \u2014 <\/em>This coming July 21-24, 2022 mrks the grand return of Comic-Con in San Diego, CA, after its canceled 2020 event and subsequent all-digital convention in 2021. Comic-Con 2022 will also serve as the launchpad for queer creative Quentin Lee<\/a>\u2019s debut graphic novel Mystery Brothers.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with Red 5 Comics<\/a>, the indie comics firm acquired the print property from Lee, as announce in Variety recently. The deal encompasses global publishing rights and sees the 2nd issue of the Asian-America sci-fi adventure comic book Mystery Brothers <\/em>by creator Quentin Lee on the Diamond Comics Catalog: https:\/\/www.previewsworld.com\/Catalog\/JUN221862<\/a> \u2014 in addition, a series of 9 NFTs from Lee\u2019s comic book Mystery Brothers <\/em>were released on May 18th, 2022 in partnership with Lee\u2019s Margin Films<\/a> and Spores Network<\/a>, culminating in the comic book\u2019s upcoming release at Comic-Con.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in New York, Mystery Brothers<\/em> is an exciting sci-fi universe about two Chinese-American 13-year-old half brothers \u2014 one of whom may or may not be completely human \u2014 battling to save their parents and protect humanity from a robot-led dystopia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExciting and powerful, filled with complex relationships and thrilling plot twists! Using a timely story of aliens and robotics, Lee probes the mysteries of heritage and identity,\u201d said respected playwright David Henry Hwang<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMystery Brothers <\/em>is an edge of your seat sci-fi thriller seamlessly merging family and heart through Lee\u2019s amazing storytelling,\u201d said Kayden Phoenix<\/a>, Creator of A LA BRAVA, Latina Superheroes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The comic book is a first collaboration between Lee and Argentinian based artist Elis Zil (IG @eliszil<\/a>). Quentin wrote the comic while Elis drew. Elis Zil is represented by Argentina\u2019s Altercomics Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
