The first story arc of DC\u2019s new\u00a0Blue Beetle<\/em><\/strong>comic book series, due to hit comic shops in September, will be titled \u201cScarab War\u201d and will team Trujillo back up with artists Guti\u00e9rrez, Quintana and Gattoni.
Jaime Reyes\u2019 graduation is over, but his new life in Palmera City and as the Blue Beetle has only just begun! The feature film\u00a0Blue Beetle<\/em><\/strong>, directed by Angel Manuel Soto, stars Xolo Maridue\u00f1a in the title role as well as his alter ego, Jaime Reyes, and marks the DC Super Hero\u2019s first time on the big screen.

In the film, recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle.
