The new hires include DeAna Avila as Production Manager, Antonio Guanaes as Executive Assistant, Steve Foxe as Editor, and Greg Lockard as Talent Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s an incredible feeling to watch this Tiny Onion grow. This company is still in its earliest stages, but we&#8217;re assembling some of the brightest minds to help us become exactly what we need to become. Every day I become more and more excited for people to find out what we&#8217;ve got cooking here behind the scenes, and more and more confident that I have the team to execute those plans.&#8221; \u2014 James Tynion IV, CEO &amp; Founder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tynion, the New York Times bestselling author behind comic book industry sales giants&nbsp;<em>Something is Killing the Children, The Department of Truth, The Nice House on the Lake<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>W0RLDTR33<\/em>, announced the formation of Tiny Onion in February of 2024. The company cites aggressive plans across the publishing, film, television, and animation industries as a catalyst for the rapid growth. She comes from a background in Production at Z2 Comics, and worked on titles including&nbsp;<em>Miles Davis and the Search for the Sound<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Iron Maiden: Piece Of Mind<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>Broken Social Scene: You Forgot It In People.<\/em>&nbsp;She works and resides in Los Angeles with her dog, Fincher. She enjoys the smell of a burger, and a brand new comic book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDeAna\u2019s attention to detail and passion for beautifully printed physical media made her the obvious choice for this role. Now, he works as Tiny Onion\u2019s executive assistant, ensuring tasks big and small are handled smoothly and on time. A resident of New York City, Antonio loves music and comic books, but his greatest passion is film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Antonio has been such a phenomenal find, a swiss army knife who has become indispensable to every department in our small, but growing operation. He is the co-creator of&nbsp;<em>Razorblades<\/em>&nbsp;alongside James Tynion IV. Beyond his work with Tiny Onion, he has been a freelance editor for First Second since 2020, overseeing New York Times bestselling titles like&nbsp;<em>Agents of S.U.I.T.<\/em>; was the editor for Paste Magazine&#8217;s comic section (when it existed); and spent five years at Knopf Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Random House. You may also know him from his writing, which includes titles like&nbsp;<em>Dark X-Men, X-Men \u201997, Spider-Woman<\/em>, the Eisner Award-nominated&nbsp;<em>Creepshow<\/em>&nbsp;anthology, the Eisner and Ringo Award-nominated&nbsp;<em>Rainbow Bridge<\/em>, and the Spider-Ham series from Scholastic. He has written and co-created two graphic novels:&nbsp;<em>Trick Pony<\/em>&nbsp;with artist\/co-creator Anna David and&nbsp;<em>Liebestrasse<\/em>&nbsp;with artist\/co-creator Tim Fish.&nbsp;<em>Liebestrasse<\/em>&nbsp;was nominated as an \u201cOutstanding Comic Book\u201d for the 2020 GLAAD Media Awards and listed by the<em>&nbsp;New York Times<\/em>&nbsp;as one of 10 Comic Books to Celebrate Pride. With over fifteen years in the industry, Lockard began his career at DC Comics in the Talent Relations department and later the editorial team of the Vertigo imprint. Working freelance since 2015, editorial clients and their publishers have included: Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, Comixology Originals, DSTLRY, the Stout Club, and more. He lives and works in Jersey City with enough houseplants to qualify as &#8220;rainforest.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnyone that has had the pleasure of working with Greg will understand why he is perfect for this role.
