The rebranding will continue the publisher\u2019s mission of celebrating immigrant and minority voices as they celebrate their fifth anniversary on June 20, 2024. The anniversary also celebrates the announcement of an all-new imprint and more, with five additional exciting announcements to come. While FairSquare Graphics will retain the use of the name FairSquare Comics for conventions and crowdfunding, future titles will be under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=89353ca3f6385c8ed1b06afca&amp;id=bfb573114a&amp;e=bcecd4dc99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FairSquare Graphics&nbsp;<\/a>name.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Publisher and editor-in-chief Fabrice Sapolsky said, \u201cChanging our name is a natural evolution as we expand to new territories. We learned a lot in our first five years and we felt that we needed to diversify and cover more grounds, bringing underrepresented voices to new markets. These are exciting times. FairSquare Graphics is ready to show even more colors and we\u2019re inviting everyone to (re)discover how amazing independent diverse creators are!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining the current catalog lineup, starting this summer, FairSquare Graphics will debut several ManFra titles (French manga) and Manhua titles. And in addition to a new name, this year will bring considerable changes to FairSquare Graphics with the inclusion of Horny Dolphin, a new imprint dedicated to NSFW with original and licensed titles. As with the primary FairSquare Graphics line, Horny Dolphin will focus primarily on immigrant and minority voices with the release of a flagship title in Fall 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FairSquare Graphics, formerly FairSquare Comics, is the brainchild of Fabrice Sapolsky, Kristal Adams, and Ethan Sapolsky and came onto the scene June 20, 2019\u00a0 and launched their debut graphic novel,\u00a0<em>Noir is the New Black<\/em>, which sold over 7000 copies in July 2020. Since then,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=89353ca3f6385c8ed1b06afca&amp;id=eeadc8c65a&amp;e=bcecd4dc99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Noir is the New Black<\/em><\/a> has had three editions printed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flagship single issue series for FairSquare Comics,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=89353ca3f6385c8ed1b06afca&amp;id=2e04d32b94&amp;e=bcecd4dc99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Mutiny: Black Girl Magik #1<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;was revitalized via Kickstarter in April. The \u201cmascot\u201d of the company, Mutiny is the culmination of pure Black femme effort with the writing, illustration, and editorial work of Black femme creatives. Issue two will debut on Kickstarter late summer 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEveryday I am proud to be a part of a wave of people who are expanding the current popular idea around graphic storytelling in the US,\u201d added FairSquare Graphics co-founder Kristal Adams. \u201cThrough graphic novels I have experienced joy, healing and a broadened perspective of my environment. When I am at a convention table, my first hand experience is what comes through my conversations with readers. I want to keep sharing what we are doing with the world and I think the name shift helps us do that even better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, FairSquare Graphics is pleased to share that<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=89353ca3f6385c8ed1b06afca&amp;id=22ec43bb8e&amp;e=bcecd4dc99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Lady-Bird<\/em><\/a>, written by Fabrice Sapolsky and Dawn J. Starr with art by Daniele Sapuppo, is being adapted as a television series in Europe. Additionally,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.us11.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=89353ca3f6385c8ed1b06afca&amp;id=366e36fcab&amp;e=bcecd4dc99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>A Boy Named Rose<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;by Gaelle Geniller is currently nominated for an Eisner Award in the Best U.S. Edition of International Material category. During their time on the scene as a small, independent publisher, FairSquare Graphics has released more than 40 titles since the start via Diamond Distributors and has attended more than 100 conventions, bringing their graphic novels direct to the readers and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Representing FairSquare Graphics, Fabrice Sapolsky and Kristal Adams will be attending this year\u2019s American Library Association conference from June 28th through July 1st in San Diego, California.
