DC today announced a new six-issue All In comic book miniseries by writer Joanne Starer and artist Stephen Byrne,\u00a0Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over<\/em>, spinning out from the pages of\u00a0Absolute Power<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0DC All In Special.<\/em>\u00a0Fire and Ice, DC\u2019s hottest (and coldest) leading ladies, are back! But they\u2019re not exactly themselves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over launching in April, as seen in the pages of DC\u2019s Absolute Power, Fire and Ice had finally achieved what Fire always wanted: the dynamic duo made a glorious return to the ranks of the Justice League\u2014and during a major world crisis, no less! But when the crisis was overcome, the smoke had cleared, and all the superpowers were restored, Ice found herself shooting off uncontrollable spurts of fire, and Fire had ice crystals forming at her fingertips. Oops!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFire and Ice\u2019s last series, Welcome to Smallville<\/em>, really focused on the ladies figuring out how their friendship worked when they weren\u2019t saving the world,\u201d said Starer, \u201cand of course there was a lot of conflict that came with that. With this new series, I wanted to showcase how well Bea and Tora understand each other and how strong they are when they work together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With their powers switched and no solution in sight, Fire and Ice tuck tail and regroup in Smallville, where they realize their predicament makes them something worse than has-been heroes: menaces to the local community they\u2019ve come to love. But Fire\u2019s always got a plan, no matter how shortsighted! And when she goes digging around in Zatanna\u2019s bag of tricks for a quick fix in the middle of karaoke night\u2026what could possibly go wrong? Aside from, y\u2019know, everything. Again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fire (Beatriz da Costa) first appeared in Super Friends<\/em> #25 in 1979 and was created by E.
